Astrology For The Week Of April 29th-May 5th
We begin the week still recovering from a disorienting celestial combination over the weekend that had everyone operating on suboptimal levels of Diggity.
The Moon remains in Pisces for the first portion of the week, until it reaches Aries.
With that being said, we can view this process as going from a “Diggity Deficit”, to slowly building up the equity of our Diggity, to suddenly having an overwhelming surplus of Diggity that will definitely need an outlet.
The first portion of the week looks a bit nebulous, “hung over,” loopy, longing, escapist, and stymied, with some pleasant reveries thrown in.
Things pick up and perhaps “perk up” and possibly get a bit "ire" by Wed, and the weekend see’s a new Moon in Taurus. Mars square to Neptune can be a rather draining, demoralizing, confusing, and depressing aspect, so with that churning on in the backround, any fortunate and morale boosting bits will be that much more valuable. Mercury and Venus in forceful Aries at some harsh angles to Saturn and Pluto this week will make it extra important to think before we speak, as the chance for cutting remarks or even passive aggression, manipulation, underhandedness, weird power games, or simply disconnects or blocks in communications and connections is increased under these configurations. In some ways, limitations, challenges or restrictions can feel magnified out of proportion to be bigger or more problematic than they really are, so taking care to avoid reactionary behavior or jumping to negative conclusions will be important, because there are actually a lot of signs pointing towards positive improvements, in spite of any delays or temporary challenges.

Let’s break it down and get into it fam.
MON/TUES: GROWING OUR DIGGITY OUT.
Monday see’s Saturn station retrograde. A process that takes until September gets underway. This marks a time of reevaluation of various commitments, and perhaps a time to step back, take stock, and economize energy accordingly until we feel more certainty about what goals and commitments have longevity and staying power. Any long overdue responibilities, tasks or commitments will loom even harder under Saturn's backward movement, so prioritizing accordingly will be key.
Monday could see some morale boosting news or communications come in, with Mars sextile Mercury, and Jupiter trine Mercury. Perhaps something subtly gets our hopes up. Best to keep our feet on the ground and take a wait and see approach before being lead down a garden path, because other aspects to Mercury from Saturn and Pluto, show other things going on under the surface that suggest not everything is on “the up and up.”
Clarifying, *honest* conversations may need to inevitably be had.
Clarifying, *honest* conversations may need to inevitably be had.
With the Moon still in sensitive Pisces, conjunct Neptune, setting up to make awkward aspects to both Mars (Monday evening) and Jupiter (Tuesday morning), here we are, “building up the equity of our Diggity”.
There is a slight “loneliness”, “distance”, and independence to these configurations. With the Sun loosening it’s conjunction to rebellious Uranus, Mercury still squaring Saturn, and also strengthening a square to Pluto, communications and even cognition can feel blocked, somewhat inhibited, burdened, or laden with weird “power dynamics.”
There can be a tendency towards dark or obsessive thoughts, passive aggression, manipulation, paranoia, or simply an unspoken intensity or slow building power struggle to contend with.
The recent strength of the Sun/Uranus conjunction can find some of us feeling a bit “on our own” if we have made any recent “declarations of independence.”
Monday evening looks a bit “loopy”, perhaps somewhat irritable and “moody.” Mars in Gemini has brought a lot of “nervous exhaustion” to the fore, and the Moon in Pisces can make us even more hypersensitive to stimulus. Even loud noises can seem just that little bit “extra”. There is a definite “escapist” vibe to Monday evening’s star scape, and a need to sooth the nervous system. Avoid jarring environments, harsh lights, tense confrontations that could escalate into arguments, and overly loud noises. Take it easy.
Tuesday, April 30th, see’s the Moon sextile Saturn and Pluto, and square Mars in Gemini and Jupiter in Sagittarius. All while still conjunct Neptune in Pisces. My head is spinning from just even typing that. There is an air of selflessness, sacrifice, empathy, and compassion, amidst dealing with some difficult person or situation. Although progress may be slow, there is evidence that it’s happening. A lunar sextile to Saturn and Pluto can help us stay committed to our ideals, even if particular situations or interactions feel a tad demoralizing, foggy, or uncertain.
Whatever is occurring here requires faith and patience.
MIDWEEK.
Wednesday, May 1st, see’s the Moon move into assertive and impulsive Aries, to conjunct Venus and Chiron. A lot of emotion may have built up into an “overwhelming surplus of Diggity”, and there could be a lot of passion, intensity, vulnerability, or even “ire” under the surface of pleasant exteriors. Healing breakthroughs and reclamations of independence or some sort of liberating “statement” or initiative is in the works as we build up to the New Moon. There may be some difficult conversations or negotiations to have, but one way or another, with Jupiter and Mars also in opposition, we need clarity and definition where there is confusion, subterfuge, or way too many “options” or extravagance. All that aside, Wed looks set to have the potential to be relatively pleasant, (at least on the surface of things.)
Thursday, May 2nd, clarifying and forthright communications go down, as the Moon in Aries adds in a conjunction to Mercury. Because Aries concerns “the self”, people can be a bit more focused on “self preservation” at this time. A lunar square to Saturn suggests some emotional frustration, and perhaps people are a bit too self centered for comfort. There is a subtle tension present even if communication is otherwise congenial and optimistic. In other cases, people communicate their priorities with their actions as opposed to their words, which can leave more sensitive souls feeling the cold shoulder. There could also be a frustration with restrictive circumstances that builds up to the New Moon, as our desires can feel inflated in the face of some “ball and chain”, responsibility, delay, challenge, blockage, restriction, or “wet blanket” we’ve been contending with. “Something has GOT to give.” In some cases, the need to put up with less than ideal circumstances is feeling harder and harder to do, and we could be feeling a bit antsy.
Later on Thursday, the Moon forms a sextile to Mars, making us much more assertive about gratifying ourselves. Hopefully in ways that are “above board”, as a lunar and Mercury square to Pluto suggests some pretty weird power dynamics that could drive some people to behave underhandedly, or use manipulation to get what they want.
THE WEEKEND/NEW MOON IN TAURUS.
Friday, May 3rd, the Sun in Taurus forms a stabilizing trine to Saturn. Although, with Mercury and Venus in Aries still both square Saturn, someone could become even more entrenched in their views and position.
Midmorning Friday, the Moon conjoins Uranus, adding a “quirky rebelliousness” to an already impassioned, and perhaps intense landscape.
We could receive some rather surprising news or communications on Friday.
Around 2 PM, the Moon moves into tactile Taurus. We may be setting ourselves free from restrictive circumstances, and laying down new foundations that set us up for more freedom within the structures that support us. We may stubbornly insist on our rights in some situation, or seek to rectify some injustice.

Saturday, May 4th, see’s the New Moon occur at 3:45 PM PST in 14 degrees Taurus. This New Moon looks rather edifying, even somewhat “soothing” and stabilizing. With both the Sun and Moon forming sextiles to Neptune, and trines to Saturn, and Pluto, in spite of lingering tensions or intensity, it appears things have reached a positive transformation point. Something about these configurations seems to spell “relief.” As if a complex process is finally beginning to materialize into something solid and show signs of progress.
Mercury ceases it’s square to Saturn, and although Venus is still in tension to Saturn, Jupiter’s trine to Mercury and Venus helps take the edge off and bring expansiveness and optimism to where there were blockages, stubbornness, or rigid, and myopic viewpoints.
In spite of tension between Venus, Saturn and Pluto, hinting at the potential of manipulativeness and a lack of direct confrontations, and an overwhelming Mars/Jupiter opposition, Sunday, May 5th, looks stable, secure, perhaps even deeply gratifying. As long as nobody embellishes or manipulates the truth, there could be some pretty reassuring and solid hints that something long overdue can begin to unfold.
Later on Sunday evening, the Moon enters communicative Gemini, forming a sextile to Chiron, hinting at some compassionate and sensitive talks, or simply alowing us to think more compassionate thoughts regarding others.
