 The Moon is in Sagittarius today conjunct Venus and trine Chiron, while semisquare Pluto. This can see good will in spite of tense undercurrents. The Sun in Capricorn semisquare Saturn, square Chiron and trine Uranus mirrors this same energy. There may be slight obstacles and vulnerabilities, and Mercury square Neptune has made it difficult to focus, getting the year off to a bit of a loopy and disoriented start in spite of people’s best intentions. This can improve as time goes on, as Mercury enters Capricorn at the end of the week, but things may become more pressed and sobering before they become more streamlined and productive. Right now is good for musing, but the Capricorn lunation will see more motivation and energy to tackle things on the ground. We’re also preparing for Pluto’s move into Aquarius on the 20th, which harkens in a new 20 year era that we have slowly been being acclimated to.

The Moon in late Sagittarius is square Neptune, emphasizing the Mercury/Neptune square even more so than it already has been. This can see potentially draining or confusing influences. Fortunately, today can see a helpful reorientation of energy, motivation, and priorities. However, people can be more sensitive or vulnerable in communications than may be apparent, so tread carefully if delivering home truths,, as many aren’t as impenetrable or invulnerable as they may attempt to project. Don’t let the panic of others get to you, and keep things simple. Energy may be low, and people can be hard to read. The Moon enters Capricorn at 5:33 PM PST, to conjoin Mars and trine Jupiter, which can reinvigorate certain initiatives and a sense of drive. This can see encouragement around certain things that may have been shelved or flagging, and it can become more clear what is and what isn’t deserving of focus, energy and attention. Evening time can see a greater sense of stability, focus, purpose and priorities begin to take hold. Mercury is still square Neptune, so there are still some draining or murky energies to navigate, but in the very least, it’s more clear what needs to recede into the background while other things take more precedence and are reinvigorated once again.

The Moon in Capricorn is conjunct Mars and Jupiter this morning, which can see the day get off to a motivated start. The afternoon can see some sensitivity with the Moon square Chiron. Being flexible and open to exploring new ideas or ways of doing things or shaking free from any ruts or bad juju can help break out of stagnant energy as the Moon forms a trine to Uranus as the day wears on. There can be epiphanies or insights, and a general sense of renewed purpose as we lead up to the New Moon, although this may be a somewhat sobering download in some cases, that can prompt a need to be more careful or stabilize things that have gone off the rails. Nonetheless, there is a lot of promise as long as people can remain grounded in reality. Pluto in anaretic degree in Capricorn can see a focus on power moves or powerful people.

This can see a “soak it all in” moment, and there can be a feeling of an impending shift in priorities towards a more action oriented and focused frame. The Mercury square to Neptune is weakening it’s hold, which can feel like slowly stepping out of a fog, -or needing to, in order to achieve certain aims and desires. Many will be thankful for this. Some will greet it less enthusiastically. Mercury enters Capricorn this evening at 6:49 PM PST, where it builds a conjunction to Mars. This can feel like a jolt to get it together that can be refreshing and necessary. Or it can feel like the cops showing up to your party. All depending on how inebriated you’ve been at the wheel of your life, and let’s face it, many people have been in an altered state of one kind or another, whether purely vibrationally thrown off by circumstances, or via intentional alchemical manipulation. Either way, this Mercury cycle will demand more focus, drive, discernment, structure, patience and rational discipline. Mercury is building a conjunction with Mars and trine to Jupiter now, so the eye will be firmly locked on securing the bag and obtaining the goods. This will require a lot of work and focus. Capricorn energy is more about quality, rarity and delayed gratification as opposed to ease of access, or instant, easy fare. It wants the best, and is unwilling to settle for cheap imitations or substitutes. This is also a strong “get it together” energy, which can see a powerful need to raise the bar, get things into order and set them upon a platform of success. This can feel a bit somber, stern or brusque. The Moon conjoins Neptune, semisquares Pluto and squares Venus later on, which can see a lot of dreaming, perhaps reflections on relationships, money, desires or values.
