ASTROLOGY FOR THE WEEK OF DEC 2-8 2024

MON DEC 2

The Moon in late Sagittarius is square Neptune this morning, which see’s a dreamy, loopy start to the day. If you’re playing a bit of “catch up”, it would be understandable. The New Moon brought with it new possibilities, and everything can feel a bit more open and expansive now. There can be progress this week on fronts that you have been hoping for. Even Venus in serious Capricorn is inspired and open to experiment, with a trine to Uranus, which perfects today, and sextile to Neptune this week. The Moon enters stoic Capricorn at 1:09 PM PST, where tomorrow it will make a stabilizing sextile to Saturn. New horizons and approaches are hitting the spot and fulfilling a need. 

TUES DEC 3

Today can be good for establishing new habits and rituals, and this can also stabilize alliances, with the Moon sextile Saturn and Juno. As the day wears on, a lunar quincunx to Jupiter and square Chiron highlight vulnerability. There is a desire to hang on to a flourishing optimism, which can see the potential for excess. Certain things have been reassessed, and in some ways, patterns are being outgrown or reaching a new phase of development. This can only be a good thing. Try to be open and flexible to process new data and experiences.

WED DEC 4

The Moon conjoins Venus and trine’s Uranus today, which rings in some refreshing changes. Venus get’s closer and closer to Pluto as she prepares to enter Aquarius on Friday night PST. This can all be coinciding with liberating and inspirational events. The Moon is conjunct the nurturing asteroid Ceres and square Hygeia today, which can highlight the influence of a female figure who is a caring and positive presence. Matters of health, diet, alchemy, and healing can also be a factor. The Moon is also semisquare Saturn and conjunct Pluto, which can see a need for patience with a process of transformation that is underway. The Moon enters Aquarius at 8:21 PM PST, which can see some powerful experiences in the evening hours.

THURS DEC 5

The Moon is opposite Mars, while the Sun is exactly conjunct Mercury retrograde today. There can be some powerful downloads, and as today wears on, there can be a growing humanitarian spirit as the Moon forms a sextile to the Sun, Mercury, and a trine to Jupiter. Altruism and good will can become infectious. You can help someone in need, or someone can help offer you a boost if you are in need of one. This can also highlight hashing out some exciting plans or forming a strong alliance. There is an opportunity to learn or teach something that will come in handy and be helpful, useful, or potentially life changing. There can be good news.

FRI DEC 6

There can be a feeling of being a stranger in a strange land with the Moon in Aquarius square Uranus. The script could be flipping in certain ways, and some people may need to take more space and independence. Mars in Leo stations retrograde today at 3:33 PM PST, at 6 degrees Leo. There can be some hesitation around certain initiatives, but this slow down can help to untangle problems to get things on to a better track by the time Mars stations direct in 2025. This can see a need to step back from certain people, dynamics, or projects in order to reprioritize and think things over. Venus enters Aquarius at 10:13 PM PST, to exactly conjoin Pluto, which can see some powerfully liberating experiences that can see some people break away from or rise above certain situations or dynamics for more independence or self empowerment. Shifts in dynamics interpersonally, socially, financially, or to the way resources are dealt with can be significant.

There can be some serious things on people’s minds and hearts, or a need to grapple with certain new realities. The day may require focus, tolerance, and endurance. The Sun is also perfecting an exact opposition to Jupiter just now, which can see some people feel challenged by a “foreign” element, or someone’s moves, or outlook makes you question your own beliefs or tests your confidence. If you can remain open minded and lead with your heart and spirit, you can expand your horizons and even make yourself available to healing and learning opportunities. Healing comes in many forms. SUN DEC 8

The Moon in Pisces is square the Sun, sesquisquare Mars Rx, sextile Uranus, and goes on to conjunct Neptune. Keep your positive vision alive and try to relax into the idea of exploring new possibilities and not having all the answers or having everything figured out. Allowing yourself and others room to breath and grow can benefit everyone involved in the long run. It may be hard to tell if you’re coming or going, so carving out a middle path can be the best way to feel comfortable.
